Twelve Days of Code
Following the mood of the season the last Albus Code class of 2018 was dedicated to celebrating our accomplishments in Computer Science (CS) and new friendships. Albus Code CMS club students enjoyed presenting their latest coding projects and sharing discoveries and challenges they came across during the inaugural 12 Days of Code Challenge launched during CS Education Week.

PROJECT 1
Original Project
Our original project consisted of after-school classroom seminars at Corkscrew Middle School in Naples Florida. This project commenced in the fall of 2018 and was taught through three sessions ending in May 2019. The sessions are planned to continue, recommencing with the fall semester 2019. In our three sessions, the students explored two computer programming platforms. The first platform was Scratch, which is a block based visual programming language and online community targeted primarily at children. The second platform was Python. The students learned the basics of Python. Python is a significant modern programming language.
